OK, this is a map of southeast BC I just pulled off the internet. Look at the lower left corner of the map. We entered Canada where the road with a '6' on it crosses the border. We wanted to continue on 6, but as you can see from the spaghetti-like mess of roads, we're lucky we didn't just have to retire to that area! We somehow managed to visit both Castlegar and Trail (odd name for a town) during our search to continue on route 6. So, once back on 6, we negotiated our way to the junction with 23 which we took, ending up in Revelstoke. Our final mistake of the day came when we turned right at the junction of 23 and the Trans-Canada Highway, aka #1. Had we turned left we would have come upon our B&B within minutes. A phone call to the innkeeper set us straight.
